What is Flipkart Affiliate Program?

Flipkart Affiliate Program is a great way for you to earn commissions by placing product banners or links on your website to refer users to the Flipkart.com website. You can earn up to 12% every time a user clicks on the banner/link and makes a purchase on our site.

How does it work?

Refer visitors from your website to flipkart.com using a host of professionally designed tools. You earn money whenever visitors follow links from your website, to flipkart.com, and make purchase(s). How much do I have to pay to join the program?

There are absolutely no costs involved in joining or being part of the affiliate program

Who can I contact for more information or help?

You can contact us for any queries about the program. It usually takes between 48-72 hours for us to respond. Please note that we are unable to provide technical support.

Do I get referral fees on all purchases made by the user?

For a product sale to be eligible to earn a referral fee, the customer must click-through a Special Link on your site to the Flipkart Site and during a single session, add the Product to his or her shopping cart.

The session begins when the customer clicks through a Special Link on your site to the Flipkart Site and ends upon the first to occur of the following events:

  • 30 Minutes elapse from the customer's initial click-through
  • The customer places an order for a product
  • The customer follows a third party link to the Flipkart Site that is formatted with an Associates tag
  • We will only pay referral fees on eligible products after order, payment, and shipping.

a. Banners can be created for individual products across all categories. Easy to generate, and customizable over a wide range of colours and dimensions, our banners are the simplest way to link to flipkart, and add compelling content to your website.

How does the search bar work?

You can implement product banners/links on any site that you own. However, we do ask that you comply with the policies outlined on the Terms & Conditions page

What are the different types of reports available for an affiliate?

Payments Reports : Displays the payments made out to the Affiliate

Orders Reports : Displays the products sold by the Affiliate

Traffic Report :Displays the number of times a particular link was clicked on the Affiliate 's homepage.

How do I find out what Product Links visitors clicked?

You can view the pages visited by visitors post clicking on your affiliate link, by checking the Traffic Report in your account.

What are the different type of order statuses?

The "Order Status" of products purchased through your affiliate links are divided into 4 groups mentioned below:

Products which were ordered through your affiliate links and have not been returned by the customer within the stipulated 30 day return period. Hence, you would definitely receive payments for these in your next payout (Example- The payouts for all Approved Products of May month would be processed by 2nd week of July month, if the payment threshold is reached)
Products which were ordered through your affiliate links in the last 30 days (these can still be returned by the customer). These products would shift to the "Approved Products" list if they are not returned within the stipulated time period and you would receive payments for these. In case, they are returned by the customer, they would shift to the "Cancelled Products" list.
Products which were ordered through your affiliate links but were cancelled by the customer within 30 days as per return policy. For these products, you would not be eligible for payments.
Products which were ordered through your affiliate links and got delivered to the Customer. However, you shall not receive commissions for these products. For any questions regarding these, please contact us.

How many items should I feature on my pages?

a. Identify products that match your site content. Narrow your picks by searching on Flipkart.com for specific products, keywords, and categories that match the topic of your Web site. View your results first by product, and then sort by other criteria, e.g., average customer review.

b. Product cross-merchandising is a very effective strategy. Many of your visitors have an interest in a wide variety of products. Take advantage of this by promoting items from across the broad Flipkart.com catalog, thereby capturing more sales. For example, if you 're reviewing a new mobile phone on your site, you can increase your sales by featuring other relevant products, like mobile phone accessories

c. Another way to identify products is to visit various product lines ' Best Sellers pages, which list best-selling items in a large number of categories and genres, and are regularly updated. You can feature items from any of the lists

d. You can find more products to promote by looking at Featured Deals, Recently Sold, New Releases

e. Reviewing your Products Reports lets you find out what products your users are purchasing after visiting your site promoting these specific products can lead to a higher conversion rate for you.

f. Try promoting higher-priced products. Featuring a range of price points gives you the chance to make higher commissions.

Do you provide samples of products I might want to feature?

We are unable to provide review samples to our associates.

What are the payment methods?

Affiliates have an option of receiving payment via

a. eGift Voucher
b. Electronic Fund Transfer(EFT)

If affiliates select payment via gift voucher, Flipkart will accrue and withhold referral fees until the total amount due is at least Rs 2500.00. If affiliates select payment via EFT, Flipkart will accrue and withhold referral fees until the total amount due is at least Rs 5000.00. Gift vouchers may be redeemed against purchase from www.flipkart.com

What if customer returns/cancels the product?

Flipkart has a 30 day cancellation/return policy. Hence products ordered through your affiliate links might get cancelled or returned within 30 days of ordering. We make payments to the affiliates only for products which are not returned in these 30 days.
